I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado (PSY- 4625). I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland. I have provided psychological services in multiple settings, including university counseling centers, community mental health, residential treatment facilities, and private practice. Across these wide-ranging contexts, I have helped individuals representing diverse cultural identities, histories, and life struggles. I use a strength-based approach that draws heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Process Therapy.
Over the last 15+ years, I have provided services to individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing the challenges that life seems to throw our way. While I have worked with many different types of challenges, I have particular experience working with:
- Depression
- Anxiety Disorders
- ADHD
- Relationship problems
- Low feelings of self-worth
- Stress Management
- Anger Management
- Sexual Issues
- Academic and work difficulties
Away from work I spend most of my time with my wife and children. We enjoy being outside hiking, playing sports, and paddle boarding. Inside we love building Legos, reading, and watching movies–especially Sci Fi & Fantasy. I’ve lived in many parts of the country including, California, Utah, Michigan, Maryland, Nebraska, Arizona, and Kentucky. I graduated from high school in Longmont, CO and we are happy to be in Northern Colorado.
